Bevin Bradley and Roberta Ross feel River Landing is the perfect place for a gallery. “We love that the city is changing and this is a perfect place for an art gallery,” said Bradley, who along with Ross has opened The Stall Gallery.
“Our focus is on original painting, prints and photographs,”Ross said.
They will have shows featuring local, national, and international artists.
Their first group exhibition, on until Aug. 7, features local female artists including Laurel Boerma, Vijay Kachru, Leah Taylor, Karen Thompson, Michelle Yuzdepski and themselves.
“We’re both artists ourselves,” Bradley said. “We’ve had shows that have been successful and we conceptualized a space where we could have a show every month.”
They said Saskatoon’s demographics have shifted to the point where a gallery such as theirs is needed.
Ross teaches art at Bishop Murray High School and Bradley is the Art Director with the Saskatoon Community Youth Arts Programming. The pair will also provide consultations to individuals or corporate clients to find just the right piece of art and they also have works available for loan.
The Stall Gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from noon to 4p.m. and also by appointment.
